Device Information: We may collect device-specific information such as device type, operating system version, and app version to ensure compatibility and improve our services.

Usage Analytics (Optional): If you enable analytics, we collect anonymous usage statistics such as feature usage, app performance metrics, and crash reports. This data does not include any personal information or vault contents.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our password management services
• Enable secure synchronization of your encrypted vault across your devices
• Authenticate your identity and secure your account
• Send you important service-related notifications (if enabled)
• Analyze app performance and fix issues (analytics data only)

3. Data Security and Encryption

All sensitive data, including passwords and vault contents, is encrypted using AES-256 encryption before storage or transmission. Your master password is never stored or transmitted—it is used only locally to encrypt and decrypt your data.

4. Data Storage

Local Storage: Your encrypted vault data is stored locally on your device. In guest mode, all data remains exclusively on your device.

Cloud Storage: For registered users, encrypted vault data may be synced to secure cloud servers to enable cross-device synchronization. All data stored in the cloud is encrypted and cannot be accessed by us or any third parties.

Data Retention: We retain your account information and encrypted vault data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time through the app settings.

5. Third-Party Services

Google Sign-In: If you choose to sign in with Google, your authentication is handled by Google according to their privacy policy. We only receive your email address and basic profile information necessary for account creation.

Cloud Services: We use secure cloud infrastructure providers to store encrypted vault data. These providers are contractually obligated to maintain the security and confidentiality of your data.

Analytics Services: If analytics are enabled, we may use third-party analytics services that collect anonymous usage data. This data cannot be used to identify you or access your vault contents.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data and vault contents
• Export your encrypted vault data at any time
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Opt out of analytics data collection
• Request information about how your data is processed
• Withdraw consent for data processing where applicable

7. Children's Privacy

SafeVault is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately so we can delete such information.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
